Integration of Digital Administration Systems Boosts Public Service Efficiency

The Communication and Informatics Office (Diskominfo) of South Tangerang City (Tangsel) has asserted that digital transformation at the grassroots level is no longer merely an option, but a primary instrument for producing precise public policy. The integration of digital administration systems has proven capable of cutting bureaucratic chains and directly impacting the efficiency of aid distribution and the handling of health issues in the community.

The success of this digital governance has made South Tangerang a national pilot. One example is a study visit from the PKK Mobilisation Team of Paser Regency, East Kalimantan, a buffer zone for the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) that intends to fully adopt the application-based information system owned by the South Tangerang City Government.

Head of the South Tangerang City Kominfo Office, TB Asep Nurdin, responded positively to the external interest in this local innovation. He explained that the E-PKK and E-Dasawisma platforms are designed as the main information supply pillars within the Satu Data Tangsel ecosystem.

Through this system, field cadres are able to supply real-time data regarding social conditions, stunting, and micro-economic potential in neighbourhood and community unit environments. Diskominfo’s task is to ensure the network infrastructure is secure so that this data flows into an analytical dashboard ready for use in data-driven policy interventions.

“We want the public to understand that this digitalisation has a very direct impact on their wallets and kitchens. Firstly, with the E-Dasawisma database updated periodically by neighbourhood cadres, the distribution of social assistance or economic incentives will be much more targeted. The risk of mis-targeting or duplicate data can be minimised as much as possible,” said Asep on Friday (12/6/2026).

Asep detailed three benefits directly felt by the wider community in South Tangerang through the optimisation of this smart application. First, poverty and family welfare funds are verified directly from the grassroots level by neighbourhood cadres, suppressing the potential for deviation in social assistance distribution.

Second, child growth and development charts inputted by cadres through the application are directly connected to community health centres and the Health Office. Malnutrition treatment can be carried out on the same day without convoluted bureaucratic barriers.

Third, data on home-based business actors fostered by the PKK in each urban village is mapped in an integrated manner. This makes it easier for the Cooperatives and SMEs Office to channel appropriate business capital training packages.

Meanwhile, Secretary of the Paser Regency PKK, Yola Yusuf, acknowledged that as a region directly bordering North Penajam Paser (the IKN area), Paser Regency is required to carry out massive digital technology acceleration to keep pace with the development of the area.

“We are currently still manual, both in recording and other supporting administration. We want to learn directly how South Tangerang manages the PKK Management Information System so we can implement it in Paser,” explained Yola.
