The Indonesian insurance and reinsurance industry is facing increasingly dynamic challenges. This situation is driving the strengthening of competence, professionalism, innovation, and collaboration among industry players to ensure the continued development of the insurance sector.

This has become a primary focus for the Indonesian Association of Insurance and Reinsurance Brokers (APARI) as it commemorates its 33rd anniversary in 2026.

APARI General Chairman, Abdul Rohman, stated that the 33rd anniversary serves as a momentum to continue providing inspiration and ideas while strengthening professionalism within the insurance and reinsurance brokerage industry.

According to him, this strengthening must be accompanied by a push for innovation and the development of collaboration with various stakeholders.

“In order to support the progress of the insurance brokerage industry in particular, and the insurance industry in general,” said Rohman in a statement on Thursday, 1 October 2026.

Strengthening Professional Industry Competence

Rohman noted that the challenges faced by the industry require human resources with strong competencies. Therefore, developing professional abilities is a vital part of addressing industry changes and developments.

“The increasingly dynamic industry challenges require strong competence and inclusive collaboration,” said Rohman.

APARI continues to encourage a spirit of continuous learning and competency development for professionals in the insurance and reinsurance brokerage field.

Rohman believes that professionals possessing competence, integrity, and adaptability will be essential in addressing current industry challenges. This capacity building is also expected to help professionals seize opportunities arising from the future development of the insurance and reinsurance industry.

622 APARI Graduates Across Three Educational Levels

One of the agendas in the series of APARI’s 33rd anniversary celebrations this year is the graduation ceremony. A total of 622 graduates participated in the ceremony across three educational levels.

The breakdown includes:

  • 282 graduates of the Indonesian Insurance and Reinsurance Junior Broker (AAPAI) level.

  • 228 graduates of the Indonesian Insurance and Reinsurance Broker (APAI) level.

  • 112 graduates of the Certified Indonesian Insurance and Reinsurance Brokers (CIIB) level.

The graduation ceremony is part of APARI’s efforts to appreciate the achievements of professionals while encouraging increased competence within the insurance sector.
