Institute to provide buses for the holiday

SURABAYA: The 10 November Institute of Technology will provide
affordable buses to transport people back to their hometowns for
the Idul Fitri holiday.

The buses will leave Surabaya on Oct. 29 after a ceremony at
the campus of the institute, student body president Aditya
Nugroho said.

The committee in charge of the program is attempting to hire
20 buses that would be able to accommodate some 900 people
traveling to cities in East and Central Java.

Those interested in participating in the program will be able
to purchase tickets for 50 percent of normal fares, said Aditya.

A similar program last year transported about 200 people back
to their hometowns for the holiday. -- JP
