Installation of Rooftop Solar Power Plants Demonstrates Environmental Sustainability Commitment and Global Competitive Readiness
The installation of rooftop solar power plant (PLTS) systems represents a commitment to environmental sustainability and an effort to enhance operational efficiency and competitiveness in the global market.
PT Ishizuka Maspion Indonesia, part of the Maspion Group, has inaugurated its rooftop PLTS installation at its production facility in Maspion Industrial Zone, Romokalisari, Surabaya, East Java. The inauguration was attended by representatives from the East Java Energy and Mineral Resources Department (ESDM).
The project was realised through strategic collaboration with Suryanesia, a provider of solar-as-a-service solutions for businesses and industries in Indonesia.
As a pioneer in clean energy utilisation within the Maspion Group, Ishizuka Maspion has integrated solar power systems at its Surabaya production facility, which manufactures glass tableware and drinkware. The company has over 25 years of experience as a global glass tableware producer, exporting its products to more than 50 countries with production capacity supported by advanced technology and automated glass machinery lines.
Plant Manager of PT Ishizuka Maspion Indonesia, Susanto, stated that the PLTS inauguration represents more than just an increase in electrical capacity for the company, but also a tangible expression of commitment to utilising new renewable energy sources.
“Through PLTS technology, we hope to generate more environmentally friendly energy, reduce dependence on fossil fuels, and support Indonesia’s national energy mix targets. We also appreciate all parties who collaborated so that this project could be completed smoothly and achieve zero accidents,” he said on Monday (9 March 2026).
He added that this energy transition also reflects the spirit of Maspion’s leadership in addressing increasingly demanding industrial challenges that require sustainable business practices.
For this strategic project, Ishizuka Maspion entrusted development and installation to Suryanesia. The partner selection was conducted through comprehensive consideration, ranging from solutions tailored to industrial needs, tested system quality, to the team’s experience in handling large-scale solar energy projects.
Susanto emphasised that with this step, Ishizuka Maspion not only strengthens production efficiency, but also enhances competitiveness from a sustainability perspective amid increasing global market demands for low-emission industrial practices. “Investment in renewable energy becomes an integral part of the company’s strategy to ensure responsible and sustainable business growth,” he concluded.
Founder & CEO of Suryanesia, Rheza Adhihusada, appreciated the trust placed by Maspion Group, particularly PT Ishizuka Maspion Indonesia, in supporting rooftop PLTS utilisation.
This collaboration, he said, represents an important step in promoting clean energy use in the industrial sector whilst supporting more efficient and sustainable operations.
“We also appreciate the support of the Ministry of ESDM and PLN in strengthening Indonesia’s renewable energy ecosystem. With this PLTS inauguration, let us appreciate the progressive steps taken by PT Ishizuka Maspion Indonesia in building a greener future,” he concluded.
