Inspired by Sherly Tjoanda, Dewi Wulan Establishes D'Legacy Circle
Driven by a spirit of building collaboration among young entrepreneurs, businesswoman and legal practitioner Dewi Wulan has formed D’Legacy Circle, a community that combines an exclusive social gathering concept with a business incubator and social movement. The initiative is said to be inspired by the career journey of Sherly Tjoanda, who, according to Dewi, has proven that business and community service can go hand in hand.
Behind the growth of several business units such as D’Needs Beauty, Dwar Law Firm, D’Management, and D’Needs Property, Dewi Wulan saw the importance of building a collaborative space that is not only network-oriented but also capable of generating business opportunities and sustainable social benefits.
The 31-year-old from Jakarta explained that D’Legacy Circle is designed as a platform that brings together business actors from various sectors, ranging from the beauty industry and professional services to automotive and showrooms, within a single productive ecosystem.
“We want to create gathering times that are far more beneficial for fellow entrepreneurs. D’Legacy is designed not merely as a place for social gatherings or meet-ups, but as an incubator for cross-collaboration or business partnerships among members,” said Dewi Wulan.
According to her, cross-sector collaboration is one strategy to strengthen the competitiveness of business actors while creating new economic opportunities. She believes the synergy built within the community can have a multiplier effect on the business growth of its members and ultimately support the national economy.
Beyond encouraging business cooperation, D’Legacy Circle also promotes a spirit of solidarity. The community is prepared as a space for sharing experiences, business education, mentoring, and mutual assistance for members facing challenges in running their businesses.
Going forward, D’Legacy Circle will run various regular agendas that not only focus on monthly social gatherings but also feature business seminars, investment forums, entrepreneurship training, and social responsibility programmes in the form of charitable activities and aid for communities in need.
“We want to concretely open new job opportunities for the public, especially those affected by the recent wave of layoffs,” Dewi added.
Dewi revealed that the spirit behind building D’Legacy Circle is inseparable from the figure who inspires her, Sherly Tjoanda. She considers Sherly’s career journey, from the business world to being entrusted with leading North Maluku Province, as an example that leadership can be built through entrepreneurial experience and concern for society.
“Mrs Sherly Tjoanda is a figure I admire. She began her career as a businessperson, then successfully became a governor and provided benefits to the community. I hope that one day, together with my colleagues at D’Legacy, I can also make a significant contribution to the nation,” Dewi concluded.
