Inspector Jodie, Tomohon Police Treasurer Known for His Integrity

The Finance Head of the Tomohon Police in North Sulawesi, Iptu Jodie Ferdinand Kairupan, is considered a police officer who is honest in carrying out his duties. He has received several awards for his good performance.

Because of his contributions, Iptu Jodie was nominated for the 2026 Hoegeng Awards by Femmy Turambi, a member of the Bhayangkari (Police Family Association) of the Tomohon Police. Iptu Jodie is described as friendly and always willing to help his colleagues, including the members of the Bhayangkari of the Tomohon Police.

A police officer who is known for his integrity, dedication, honesty, friendliness, politeness, and responsibility in carrying out his duties, and is always willing to help others.

When contacted separately, Femmy said she was impressed by Iptu Jodie’s kindness, honesty, and friendliness. Femmy is the wife of one of Iptu Jodie’s colleagues at the Tomohon Police.

“So I know Iptu Jodie Kairupan well, he is indeed honest, friendly, and kind to his colleagues and to us, the members of the Bhayangkari of the Tomohon Police,” Femmy told detikcom on Friday (20/2/2026).

According to Femmy, Iptu Jodie is very open with his colleagues regarding his duties as the police treasurer. Iptu Jodie is said to always be willing to help and provide solutions to personnel who have problems related to finances, but he is also not afraid to apologise if he makes a mistake.

“The honest attitude he shows when mistakes occur, especially in the field of finance (condolence funds), he informs and is willing to apologise and explain without covering it up,” said Femmy.

“If it is about his colleagues, the kind attitude he shows is that when a member complains about finances, he always helps by providing the best solution on how to overcome the financial problems we face,” she added.

In line with Femmy, Pastor Eva Korompis also praised the kindness, honesty, and achievements of Iptu Jodie. Pastor Eva is a community figure in the place where Iptu Jodie lives, namely in Tumpaan Dua Village, Tumpaan District, South Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi.

“Indeed, the figure or profile of Mr. Jodie is a very friendly person. He is able to adapt to the environment,” said Pastor Eva.

She believes that Iptu Jodie is a police officer who is responsible for his duties. According to her, Iptu Jodie’s responsibility and dedication to the Police are total, as evidenced by several achievements.

“When he was placed at the Tomohon Police, especially when he was entrusted as the head of the finance section, when he was given responsibility, then there were achievements that Mr. Jodie could achieve,” she said.

Outside of his duties as a member of the Police, Iptu Jodie is said to be a religious man. Pastor Eva said that Iptu Jodie is active in religious activities in his neighbourhood.

“Mr. Jodie is also part of the community and congregation, and he is active in various service activities, especially in the men’s commission. Mr. Jodie is entrusted as the assistant treasurer of the men’s commission at the congregation level. In addition, he is also entrusted as the treasurer of the Matuari Tumpaan Permai community,” she said.

Pastor Eva also advised Iptu Jodie to maintain his integrity as a member of the Police. She also wants Iptu Jodie to continue to be consistent in protecting and caring for the community.

“Of course, what he has achieved so far is not because of his own strength as a human being, but it is only because of God, so that he can receive these awards,” she said.

Meanwhile, AKBP Lerry Tutu, Head of the Personnel Affairs Section of the North Sulawesi Police’s Human Resources Bureau, assessed that Iptu Jodie’s performance was very good. Before being transferred to the North Sulawesi Police, AKBP Lerry was the Chief of the Tomohon Police, which means he was Iptu Jodie’s direct superior.

“So in his duties, according to our assessment, it is very good. Why can we say it is good? The evidence is that he has received many awards, both from the provincial level, directly from the Chief of Police, and most recently at the Police Headquarters,” said AKBP Lerry.

AKBP Lerry assessed that Iptu Jodie was also able to build good relationships with his members. So the performance of the finance personnel of the Tomohon Police is very solid and compact.

“In carrying out his duties, sometimes there is a duty roster, and he really carries it out, we always monitor it,” said Lerry.

“So Mr. Jodie actually lives in South Minahasa, which is about 1.5 to 2 hours from Tomohon. However, while we were both in Tomohon, we saw that he spent more time in Tomohon than at his own home. In essence, he always stays in Tomohon, rarely going home to South Minahasa,” he continued.

In AKBP Lerry’s view, Iptu Jodie is also a religious member. According to him, Iptu Jodie is active in participating in religious activities.

“He is indeed not a complicated person, he works well, has good relationships, everything is good,” he said.

Iptu Jodie Kairupan is one of the candidates for the 2025 Hoegeng Corner award proposed by the Human Resources Department of the Tomohon Police. He was nominated because he is considered to have high integrity, so the Tomohon Police received a perfect Indicator of Performance in Budget Implementation (IKPA).

Since serving as the Finance Head of the Tomohon Police, Iptu Jodie has received several awards. In 2024, Iptu Jodie received an award from the Chief of Police as the Treasurer of a Work Unit who obtained a Perfect IKPA Achievement Value (100) in the 2024 Fiscal Year, Medium Budget Category.

Iptu Jodie said that he always instils the values of honesty in his work. He said that financial management must be in accordance with the law.

“First of all, I have to work hard, be honest, and be disciplined. Because in finance, there are regulations, starting from the law on state finances, treasury, and regulations from the Minister of Finance, which are updated every year, and regulations from the Director General of Treasury, which change and are updated, we must follow and learn them,” said Jodie when talking to detikcom in October 2025.

If he finds problems or obstacles in managing financial applications, Iptu Jodie always coordinates with his superiors. He also coordinates with the relevant parties.
