Inspecting National Roads in Serdang Bedagai, Ijeck Highlights Infrastructure Equality
Musa Rajekshah, a member of Commission V of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), inspected the widening and lane addition of the National Road in Sei Rampah, Serdang Bedlam, North Sumatra. The inspection, which took place on Saturday (12/9), was conducted to ensure the quality of national strategic infrastructure in the region.
During the visit, Musa Rajekshah, affectionately known as Ijeck, was accompanied by the Vice Regent of Serdang Bedagai, Adlin Tambunan. Also present were the Head of BBPJN North Sumatra, Hardy Siahaan, and a member of the North Sumatra Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) from the Golkar Faction, Ziad Ananta.
Ijeck stated that the equitable distribution of development, particularly regarding National Road infrastructure, must be felt by communities across all regions of Indonesia. He noted that infrastructure development plays a strategic role in opening access, strengthening inter-regional connectivity, and driving regional economic growth.
“The equitable distribution of development, especially national road infrastructure, must be felt evenly across all regions in Indonesia. Roads are vital infrastructure because they are directly linked to community mobility and economic activities,” Ijeck said in a written statement on Saturday (12/9/2026).
Ijeck added that infrastructure development should not focus solely on physical construction but must act as a catalyst for regional economic growth. Adequate infrastructure will impact the smooth distribution of goods and services, support industrial zones, open economic access for the community, and improve basic services.
“Infrastructure development must serve as a catalyst for regional economic growth, particularly in strengthening connectivity, supporting industrial areas, and improving basic services for the public. Therefore, development must be well-planned and executed to provide maximum and sustainable benefits,” he continued.
He also emphasised the importance of synergy between the central government, local governments, and all stakeholders in overseeing infrastructure development. According to him, coordination and field supervision are necessary to ensure that various strategic developments proceed according to planning and community needs.
On this occasion, the Vice Regent of Serdang Bedagai, Adlin Tambunan, also expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the Central Government and the DPR RI for their visit and attention. Special appreciation was given to Commission V member Musa Rajekshah for realising infrastructure and education sector development in the area.
“On behalf of the Government and the people of Serdang Bedagai, we express our gratitude for Mr Musa Rajekshah’s visit to Serdang Bedagai Regency. Direct inspections such as this are very important because we can see the conditions on the ground while absorbing various needs that are of concern to the community,” explained Adlin.
Adlin hoped that with the successful collaboration already in place, the development of this national road could continue. His office remains optimistic that the lane realignment project can proceed to completion.
“We hope that the development and widening of this national road will increase the community’s economy and that the development plan can be fully realised,” he concluded.
The Head of BBPJN North Sumatra, Hardy Siahaan, reported that the construction of the 1.5-kilometre stretch of national road has reached 64 per cent. This infrastructure project is targeted for full completion this coming November.
