Inspecting Damaged Roads in West Bandung, Regent Jeje Promises Repairs This Year
West Bandung Regent Jeje Ritchie Ismail inspected several damaged road sections on Saturday (9/5/2026). He promised to repair the damage gradually this year using the West Bandung Regency (KBB) regional revenue and expenditure budget (APBD) and other funding sources. First, he inspected Haji Gofur Road in Campaka Village, Tanimulya Village, Ngamprah Subdistrict, parts of which were severely damaged. The length of this road connecting Ngamprah Subdistrict to Cisarua Subdistrict will be repaired over 1.1 kilometres with a budget of Rp 4 billion. “Haji Gofur here has already been completed below (repaired last year) and part is still in damaged condition. This year 2026, we will handle it with concrete construction, initial stage over 1.1 kilometres with a budget of Rp 4 billion, we will do it in three segments,” said Jeje. He also inspected the Purabaya-Jati-Saguling Road section connecting Padalarang-Batujajar-Saguling Subdistricts, stretching 13 kilometres. Jeje said this road section is a priority for repair this year. “This road section has been set as a priority to be completed entirely in 2026. So the total budget for this road is Rp 4 billion,” said Jeje. Overall, said Jeje, the West Bandung Regency Government will repair 33 road sections this year with a total prepared budget of Rp 91 billion. However, the budget amount and number of roads to be repaired could increase after he communicates with the West Java Governor, Dedi Mulyadi. “In line with the governor’s instructions, KBB is asked to improve infrastructure. This year we have budgeted Rp 91 billion for 33 road sections, but it seems the budget will be added after coordination with the West Java Provincial Government. Mid-May we will start several road sections, starting to be repaired,” said Jeje. Jeje acknowledged there is still much homework (PR) that must be completed regarding infrastructure in West Bandung. There are many points of damaged roads that have not yet been touched by repairs and are complained about by the public. Road repairs are a priority for the West Bandung government under the leadership of Jeje and Asep Ismail. “So the damaged roads complained about by the public are very many, and some have entered the repair plan. But of course it all needs a process, there is data entry and other stages. This road repair will certainly improve the economy of each area, and that is very important to do,” said Jeje.
