Inside Operation Patuh Jaya: Traffic Violators Face Immediate Action
Jakarta Metro Police deployed 2,938 joint personnel for Operation Patuh Jaya 2026, which runs for 14 days from 26 October to 8 November 2026.
The operation involves personnel from several agencies, including 80 members of the Indonesian Military (TNI), 30 staff from the Jakarta Transportation Agency and 30 members of the Jakarta Public Order Agency (Satpol PP).
At Kemanggisan Raya in Slipi, officers were observed targeting traffic violations that could endanger road users.
Enforcement measures included action against motorcyclists not wearing helmets meeting Indonesian National Standard (SNI) requirements, drivers not wearing seat belts and motorists using mobile phones while driving.
Officers also targeted running red lights, driving against the flow of traffic, exceeding speed limits and violating road signs and markings.
To ensure enforcement complies with regulations, every action taken by officers in the field—including warnings issued to offenders—must be documented on video using a body-worn camera or an authorised device.
