INNOPROM 2026: Ministry of Industry Opens Wide Access for Eurasian Investors to Enter Indonesia

The Ministry of Industry is expanding access for investors and business players from the Eurasian region to explore investment opportunities and industrial partnerships in Indonesia. This was carried out through participation as the Official Partner Country at INNOPROM 2026. Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita in Ekaterinburg emphasised that Indonesia now not only offers a large market potential but also presents a clear and measurable industrial development direction for prospective investors. “Through the New National Industrialisation Strategy (SBIN), Indonesia is building a stronger, modern, and sustainable industrial foundation. We are opening wide spaces for international partnerships that can bring quality investment, technology transfer, and increased national industrial capacity,” Agus said. The event, which took place from 6-9 July 2026 in Ekaterinburg, Russia, served as a platform to introduce the SBIN as the new direction for Indonesia’s industrial development. The SBIN is the Ministry of Industry’s response to the increasingly rapid changes in the global economy, ranging from the acceleration of digitalisation and energy transition to shifts in global supply chains. The strategy also serves as a roadmap towards the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision based on President Prabowo Subianto’s Astacita, while guiding an independent, competitive, and sustainable industrialisation. Through the SBIN, the government is implementing four main priorities that open collaboration spaces for Eurasian investors: strengthening value-added manufacturing production based on natural resources, mastering industrial technology through Making Indonesia 4.0, green industrialisation, and developing industrial human resources. Director General of Regional Resilience and International Industrial Access at the Ministry of Industry, Tri Supondy, stated that Indonesia’s participation in INNOPROM 2026 is a strategic momentum to strengthen the country’s position as a long-term industrial partner for the Eurasian region. He noted that Indonesia enters INNOPROM 2026 as the largest manufacturing country in Southeast Asia, with a Manufacturing Value Added (MVA) reaching 265 billion US dollars, placing it 13th in the world.
