PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney Airports) is enhancing facility and service readiness at 14 airports to ensure smooth Hajj pilgrim returns from 1 June to 1 July 2026.

“Optimal airport services are crucial for the Hajj repatriation process,” said InJourney Airports President Director Mohammad R. Pahlevi in a statement on Monday in Jakarta.

InJourney is focusing on the repatriation phase of over 200,000 Hajj pilgrims, ensuring all arrival processes run smoothly at airports handling this year’s Hajj flights.

Preparedness includes personnel, facilities, and coordination with stakeholders to ensure seamless, swift, and precise service for pilgrims.

In addition to intensive religious activities, pilgrims must endure 10-12 hour flights before returning to Indonesia.

Therefore, airports are working to ensure a seamless arrival process, from flight slot scheduling, aircraft taxiway usage, parking allocation, to bus transfers to Hajj dormitories.

Pahlevi explained that pilgrim arrival procedures at each airport are tailored to local characteristics and operational conditions to optimise service delivery.
