InJourney: Six Airlines Apply to Open Routes from Bandung's Husein Airport

PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney Airports) has recorded that six airlines have applied to open jet routes from Husein Sastranegara Airport in Bandung, as part of plans to optimise the airport’s operations. Corporate Secretary Group Head of InJourney Airports, Arie Ahsanurrohim, stated that the response from airlines to the plan to resume operations at Husein Sastranegara has been positive. “To date, six airlines have submitted official applications to operate,” Arie said in a statement received in Bandung on Monday. The six airlines that have applied include Citilink, with planned routes to Kualanamu, Denpasar, and Surabaya, and Super Air Jet, with routes to Kualanamu, Denpasar, Pekanbaru, Makassar, Batam, Padang, and Balikpapan. Following the airlines’ applications, InJourney Airports will manage the availability of flight slots to accommodate all requests in line with the airport’s capacity. “We hope that flight connectivity at Husein Sastranegara Airport can support the economic and tourism growth of West Java and Bandung in particular,” he said. The resumption of jet aircraft flights from Husein Sastranegara Airport is expected to strengthen connectivity for Bandung and West Java, whilst also impacting the development of the tourism, trade, investment, and regional economic sectors.
