PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney Airports) predicts that passenger traffic at 37 managed airports will exceed 578,311 people during the peak return flow of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah on 28 March 2026.

“Total of 3,898 flights are scheduled at 37 airports on the peak return flow day today, 28 March 2026. Slot time arrangements at all airports are carried out optimally to ensure smooth aircraft movements, both at departure and arrival points,” stated InJourney Airports’ President Director Mohammad R. Pahlevi in a written statement received in Tangerang, Banten, on Saturday.

He said that during this peak return flow period, the airports with the highest traffic are projected to be Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Tangerang, serving 198,387 passengers, and I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali, serving 73,704 passengers.

He added that InJourney Airports ensures comprehensive operational readiness and services on the airside, terminal, and landside.

On the airside, the focus includes smooth aircraft movements, apron capacity management for aircraft parking, and enhanced coordination with airlines and ground handling operators for passenger baggage handling.

“Baggage handling is a priority amid the high return flow traffic. Airlines and ground handling operators, supported by InJourney Airports, pay attention to baggage handling standards from unloading from the aircraft until received by passengers in the arrival area of the terminal,” he explained.

Meanwhile, on the landside, strategic steps have been prepared for vehicle traffic management in the airport area, including optimisation of pick-up and drop-off zones, as well as ensuring the availability of public transportation at airports for aircraft passengers.

He revealed that the company has increased terminal passenger service capacity through additional service personnel, optimisation of service facilities, and ensuring the availability of information services to guarantee a safe, comfortable, and smooth travel experience for aircraft passengers.

“Aircraft passengers are also urged to arrive three hours early before departure to process the flight departure,” he said.
