InJourney Operating Profit Rises by 10%, BP BUMN Issues Key Directive
The BP BUMN and BPI Danantara have requested that InJourney strengthen its services and financial performance. The Head of BP BUMN, Dony Oskaria, expressed appreciation for the 10% year-on-year (YoY) growth in the operating profit of the InJourney Group.
This agenda was discussed during a meeting between the Head of BP BUMN and COO of Danantara Indonesia, Dony Oskaria, with the Board of Directors of InJourney Group at the BP BUMN Building on 15 September 2026.
“This has restored our position; previously we were lagging, but as of August, we are positive compared to the previous year. We certainly hope to remain positive towards the end of the year,” said Dony, quoting his Instagram account on Wednesday (16/9/2026).
Amidst these achievements, strengthening services and accelerating hotel transformation remain key development agendas for the company. The discussions covered business performance, service quality improvements, and the progress of hotel transformation following the consolidation of state-owned hotels.
“The good news is that as of August, we grew by 10.9%, Mr. Dony. We presented what happened up to mid-June and through the end of July. As of August 2026, our revenue grew by 6.1%. In terms of revenue, we have consistently grown by 5 to 6% year-to-date through August, July, and the recent August period,” said the President Director of InJourney, Maya Watono.
“Our EBITDA grew by 1.7%, and income reached Rp1.27 trillion, a 10.9% increase,” Maya added.
BP BUMN, alongside Danantara Indonesia, supports the strengthening of operational standards and service quality within the InJourney Group, including safety aspects, to provide safe and reliable tourism services for the public. This support is part of the effort to optimise services while strengthening Indonesia’s tourism ecosystem.
The meeting also discussed the acceleration of the state-owned hotel transformation following consolidation. Through Hotel Indonesia Natour (HIN), the InJourney Group aims to manage the operations of these hotels by the end of 2026.
Danantara Indonesia and BP BUMN view InJourney as one of the holding groups that has most promptly completed the streamlining process. Danantara aims for all InJourney subsidiaries to record positive profit and equity by next year.
“I hope the streamlining will be completed by the end of this year. Consequently, InJourney will serve as a model for a well-executed transformation process,” said Dony.
“Last year, we reduced debt by approximately Rp5 trillion. This year, I hope we can reduce it by more than Rp5 trillion,” Dony concluded.
