The challenge is that we will soon undertake modernisation to ensure all our production tools remain relevant to current industrial growth.

Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Telkom Infrastruktur Indonesia, or InfraNexia, will modernise its equipment and production infrastructure to adapt to developments in the digital industry, including the increasing demand for artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud services.

InfraNexia President Director Lukman Hakim Abd Rauf stated that this modernisation follows the second phase of connectivity infrastructure asset transfers from PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, valued at approximately Rp49.9 trillion.

“The challenge is that we will soon undertake modernisation to ensure all our production tools remain relevant to current industrial growth, including supporting AI and digital platforms that are becoming increasingly large, ranging from cloud services to other uses,” Lukman said during a press conference in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Lukman noted that with the management of increasingly larger assets, InfraNexia will develop its business across two main groups: wholesale connectivity (wholesale network) and wholesale FTTX (wholesale access).

He added that the additional assets from the second phase of the spin-off will expand service coverage while creating opportunities for the company to develop new products.

“We will continue to push these two large external revenue groups following the second phase of assets transferred to us, and our service reach will also become much wider,” he said.

He explained that managing assets through InfraNexia is intended to improve business and asset management methods, increase performance transparency, and unlock opportunities for more optimal utilisation and monetisation.

However, the impact on revenue and profitability will not occur automatically, as it will depend on the quality of execution, external customer growth, operational efficiency, and operational discipline.

In addition to equipment modernisation, InfraNexia is also building an autonomous network as part of developing network infrastructure that is more adaptive to customer needs.

This platform is targeted to make infrastructure management smarter, thereby enhancing the quality of service provided to customers.

This modernisation is part of InfraNexia’s efforts to optimise its growing connectivity assets following the spin-off process, while simultaneously capturing the growing demand for digital infrastructure driven by developments in AI, cloud, and various other digital services.
