Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Jakarta Information Commission (KI DKI) has emphasised that every public body that has received an “Informative Public Body” rating must install an informative zone marker as a form of responsibility. “The marker is not just for show. It is proof of the public body’s commitment to serving the community,” said the Head of the Information Dispute Resolution Division of KI DKI, Agus Wijayanto Nugroho, in Jakarta on Wednesday. Agus stated that installing this marker is important so that the public knows the public body’s commitment to transparency. According to him, the installation of the informative zone must become part of the transparency culture in every public body. This commitment is expected to increase public trust while strengthening the public body’s responsibility in fulfilling the right to information. “The informative zone ensures that the public knows their information services have been assessed and are at the highest standards,” he said. Based on the results of the 2025 Electronic Monitoring and Evaluation (E-Monev), there are 189 Informative Public Bodies that have installed the Informative Zone Marker, or 70 percent from various categories, namely city governments, agencies, bodies, bureaus, regional-owned enterprises, regional public hospitals, land offices, schools, sub-districts, villages, political parties, and non-structural institutions. With the installation of these markers, KI DKI hopes that public bodies will become more proactive in presenting relevant, accurate, and inclusive information to realise quality public information services in Jakarta.
