Infographic: Signs That a Person Has Attained Lailatul Qadar

There are no texts or hadith indicating the signs of a Muslim attaining the night of Lailatul Qadar. Islamic scholar Prof. Quraish Shihab states the characteristics, including:

• Daily attitudes and behaviour become increasingly better.

• Lailatul Qadar fills the recipient’s heart with peace and tranquillity.

• That peace carries the recipient of Lailatul Qadar from doubt to certainty, from ignorance to knowledge, from treachery to fidelity, from ostentation to sincerity, and from arrogance to humility.

• Angels descend on the night of Lailatul Qadar. Therefore, those who attain it will always exhibit conduct that tends toward goodness. There, there is guidance from the angels.

• These signs may be taken as indicators that someone has obtained Lailatul Qadar.
