Infographic: Casualty Data from the NTT Earthquake
According to Basarnas data as of 23:30 WIB on Tuesday (18/8/2026), 70 people have died and 132 have been injured as a result of this earthquake. Of the 132 injured, 40 suffered serious injuries and 92 suffered minor injuries. Officials are still sweeping the affected areas. A total of 11,925 houses have been damaged and 40,040 people have been displaced. Meanwhile, in East Manggarai, 966 people are sheltering at BPBD posts, while around 14,000 have evacuated independently, bringing the total number of displaced there to approximately 15,465. The government has also sent aid to the victims. Sixty-five tonnes of logistics were dispatched to NTT this morning, bringing the total amount of logistics there to 253 tonnes. Basarnas teams are currently focused on assisting medical recovery teams for the victims, especially in hard-to-reach areas such as Lamba Leda District, East Manggarai Regency.
