Info on This Week's CFD in Depok: Depok Open Space Temporarily Closed
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The implementation of the Motor Vehicle-Free Day (HBKB) or Car Free Day (CFD) in Depok will once again be held on Sunday (3/5/2026). The event is still centred along Jalan Margonda Raya, from Simpang Juanda to the Putaran Jalan Dahlia and Jalan Arif Rahman Hakim. During the event, this main road section will be temporarily closed to motor vehicles from 06.00 to 09.00 WIB. The area is utilised by residents for various activities, such as cycling, leisurely walks, jogging, and family sports without traffic disturbances. In addition, several supporting activities will enliven the CFD, one of which is a rubbish collection action or plogging. Residents are invited to participate in maintaining environmental cleanliness through a healthy walk while collecting rubbish. The CFD also serves as an economic space for small business actors. Along the event route, various stalls are available selling daily necessities, from clothing and household items to food ingredients. To maintain traffic flow, the Depok City Transportation Agency has prepared traffic engineering. Motorcycles are diverted via Jalan Rawageni and Jalan Dipo, while cars are directed through Jalan Siliwangi or the Grand Depok City area as access to the toll road. However, this week, there is an adjustment in the area around Depok City Hall. The Depok Open Space (DOS) area is temporarily closed in line with the start of the Depok Open Space Environment Development and Landscaping Project Phase 3 until 31 July 2026. The public is urged not to enter the area that has been fenced or marked with boundary lines (safety line), and to comply with the signs posted around the location.
