Influencer Keanu Questioned by Police Regarding Hanania Travel Promotion
The Metro Jaya Regional Police have summoned several influencers in connection with a fraud case involving Hanania Travel. Among those questioned was Keanu Angelo, who appeared as a witness after having promoted Hanania Travel’s Umrah packages.
Following the interrogation, Keanu stated that investigators asked dozens of questions regarding his collaboration with the Hanania Group, including details on endorsement fees. Keanu clarified that he did not receive any monetary payment for the promotion, asserting that the partnership was based on a barter system. To support his claim, he presented bank statements from the period of his travel two years ago to prove that no funds were transferred from the Hanania Group to his account.
Keanu expressed shock and sadness regarding the fraud, noting that he had previously attended large-scale reunions organised by the company. He expressed deep concern for the victims and stated his support for the police investigation, promising to remain cooperative throughout the legal process.
Meanwhile, the Metro Jaya Regional Police have officially named the head of Hanania Travel, Ahmad Syah Farhan (ASF), as a suspect in the alleged fraud and embezzlement of Umrah travel funds. Farhan, the President Director of PT Khazanah Tamma Internasional, is currently in custody.
According to the Head of Public Relations for Metro Jaya Regional Police, Kombes Budi Hermanto, the authorities have received two separate reports regarding the case. The number of victims is estimated to be in the dozens, with total losses amounting to approximately Rp 12.14 billion. Farhan faces charges related to fraud, embezzlement, and potential money laundering under the Indonesian Criminal Code.
