Infant Girl's Body Found on Clinic Porch in South Tangerang, Police Investigate

The body of a baby was found on the porch of a clinic in the Pondok Aren area, South Tangerang City. The infant was female. South Tangerang Metro Police Chief AKBP Boy Jumalolo stated on Wednesday (29/7/2026) that the baby was found deceased at the clinic. The body was discovered around 7:00 a.m. local time. Police believe the baby was newly born, as the umbilical cord was still attached and there were traces of blood. Two witnesses, who are nurses at the clinic, reported the discovery to the local police. Authorities are currently investigating and have identified a suspected individual who may have abandoned the infant.
