"Staff on board the train found a baby in the toilet of executive carriage 3. The discovery was then reported to the Service Control Centre, which immediately coordinated with Solo Balapan Station," Feni said in a written statement on Saturday (4/7/2026).

The KAI team then met the baby’s basic needs to ensure its condition remained stable and protected," she detailed.

Feni added that KAI Operational Area 6 then coordinated with the police for further handling in accordance with applicable regulations.

"The KAI team then coordinated with the Banjarsari Police. The baby is currently in the care of the police and Bhayangkara Hospital. KAI Operational Area 6 Yogyakarta will fully support the process required in handling this case according to prevailing procedures," she said.

Feni noted that coordination and investigation with the police are still ongoing. KAI Operational Area 6 Yogyakarta stated it is ready to collaborate with the authorities to support the handling process of the case in accordance with applicable regulations.

"Coordination and tracing with the police are continuing. KAI Operational Area 6 Yogyakarta will collaborate with the authorities and provide the necessary support according to prevailing procedures," she concluded.
