INET accelerates expansion to bolster position in national digital ecosystem
JAKARTA (ANTARA) - Connectivity provider PT Sinergi Inti Andalan Prima Tbk (INET) is preparing to accelerate strategic expansion to strengthen its position within Indonesia’s digital ecosystem. The company’s expansion will be driven by surging data traffic, accelerated digital transformation across sectors, and adoption of advanced technologies such as Wi-Fi 7, 5G, cloud computing, and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
INET Director General Muhammad Arif stated in a press release on Friday that successfully navigating 2025 with a focus on strategic consolidation post-IPO has solidified the company’s position. He said, ‘We view 2025 not merely as a year of growth, but as a momentum to strengthen operational foundations and governance. Strengthening domestic networks and completing the Jabodetabek ring network now serves as a crucial asset for INET to respond to market opportunities more swiftly, reliably, and efficiently.’
Arif explained that a key strategic milestone for 2026 is enhancing international connectivity routes to meet the needs of Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and corporate clients.
Through its subsidiary PT Pusat Fiber Indonesia (PFI), the company has entered a strategic partnership with PT Jejaring Mitra Persada (JMP) to develop a Submarine Cable Communication System (SKKL) connecting Jakarta-Batam-Singapura.
Under an Indefeasible Right of Use (IRU) agreement, PFI has secured usage rights for the Rising-8 submarine cable infrastructure, specifically the segment between Tanjung Pinggir (Batam) and Tanah Merah (Singapore).
‘This move bolsters INET’s flagship service portfolio, including International IP Transit and International Private Leased Circuit (IPLC), which provide stable, secure, high-capacity global connectivity routes, as well as Exchange Content services (Peering and Content Delivery) offering low-latency distribution of local and international content to enhance user experience,’ Arif said.
Domestically, the company sees significant potential in fixed broadband, particularly in tier-two and tier-three cities (layer 2 and 3) and suburban areas not yet optimally served.
To support massive network expansion, it has acquired PT Personel Alih Daya Tbk (PADA), a technical workforce and managed services provider managing 35,000 employees.
The integration of PADA into the company’s ecosystem will form the backbone of fulfilling human resource needs for FTTH installation and maintenance, spanning Java, Bali, Lombok, and West Kalimantan.
Furthermore, through subsidiary PT Garuda Prima Internetindo (GPI), the company is developing Wi-Fi 7-based FTTH services in strategic areas of Bali, Lombok, and West Kalimantan.
‘This service targets end-users with ultra-high speed, stable connections, low latency, and the ability to support modern smart home ecosystems,’ Arif said.
In the Corporate and ISP/Business-to-Business (B2B) segment, the company employs offline and relationship-based marketing with direct selling, positioning itself as a long-term partner through provision of data centre interconnection infrastructure, colocation, local loop, and Network Access Provider (NAP) services backed by responsive 24/7 after-sales support.
For the Business-to-Consumer (B2C) segment, it relies on aggressive digital campaigns, market education on Wi-Fi 7 advantages, and structured discount promotions to drive mass adoption.
To maintain business ecosystem harmony and avoid direct competition with ISP partners, the company has separated all end-user service transactions (for corporations, enterprises, and government institutions via e-catalog/LKPP) through a separate subsidiary, PT Data Prima Solusindo.
‘This separation ensures our B2B partners remain comfortable doing business with INET, as there are no conflicting interests on the ground. We grow alongside the industry,’ Arif said.
