INDY Through Subsidiaries Establishes PT Electra Jaringan Indonesia
PT Indika Energy Tbk., through its two subsidiaries, PT Ilectra Motor Group (IMG) and PT Electra Distribusi Indonesia (EDI), has officially established a new subsidiary entity named PT Electra Jaringan Indonesia (EJI). This step is part of the company’s strategy to diversify its business and focus on sustainable business activities.
Based on a disclosure letter to the Financial Services Authority (OJK) on Thursday (21 May 2026), PT Indika Energy Tbk.’s Corporate Secretary, Adi Pramono, stated that the approval from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia for the establishment of the new legal entity had been received by the company on 20 May 2026.
‘The establishment is set out in Deed of Establishment No. 11 dated 6 May 2026, drawn up by a Notary in East Jakarta, and has obtained ratification from the Ministry of Law RI No. AHU-0037535.AH.01.01 dated 11 May 2026,’ reads the information disclosure report of the Perseroan.
Going forward, PT Electra Jaringan Indonesia (EJI), based in Jakarta, will operate in the electricity sector. EJI’s business activities include Distribution or Transmission of Electrical Power at medium voltage and below (KBLI 35113) and Selling Electricity to End Consumers (KBLI 35114). In the shareholding structure, IMG holds a majority of 99% of the shares, equal to Rp 99,000,000.
Meanwhile, EDI holds the remaining 1% of shares valued at Rp 1,000,000, so the total initial capital of the company is Rp 100,000,000. It should be noted that IMG and EDI are themselves subsidiaries of Indika Energy with indirect share ownership not exceeding 99%. Management of Indika Energy emphasises that the establishment of the new entity will not have a negative impact on the group’s operations, legal, financial condition, or business continuity. The financial statements of the new subsidiary will be consolidated into the parent company’s financial statements. (end)
