At INNOPROM 2026, Indonesia has been honoured as the Official Partner Country in the largest international industrial exhibition in Eurasia, to be held from 6-9 July 2026 in Ekaterinburg, Russia. Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang stated that INNOPROM is a very large industrial event and exhibition, making Indonesia’s involvement highly significant. The appointment of Indonesia as partner country reflects the good relations between Indonesia and Russia, as well as Indonesia’s position as a major economic power. Indonesia hopes its role at INNOPROM will provide opportunities to expand the market for Indonesian manufactured products in the Eurasian region, particularly for food and beverage products, the textile sector, furniture, rubber products, and the downstream natural resources sector. This step is a pathway for Indonesia to achieve its goal of becoming the world’s fourth-largest economy by 2030, supported by natural resources, human resources, and the strength of the manufacturing sector as the backbone of the economy. The Ministry of Industry is ensuring efforts to make INNOPROM 2026 a success so that it can impact Indonesia’s manufacturing industry. Therefore, a number of strategies are being implemented, including holding business matching meetings at the Indonesia Pavilion. The Ministry will also showcase around 50 companies and industries, ranging from MSMEs and medium-sized industries to industrial estates and startups. Agus Gumiwang is also targeting the strengthening of the manufacturing sector through cooperation, which is very important to bolster the resilience of the domestic industry in the face of global uncertainty and turmoil, one of which is strengthening Indonesia’s position in the global supply chain. One of the industrial sectors being pushed for strengthening and transformation is the health sector, which has now been included in the eight sectors of the 4.0 transformation.
