Industry Actively Boosts Crypto Literacy, Investors Grow Over 50 Percent
Jakarta – The growth of Indonesia’s crypto asset industry continues to show a positive trend. This has prompted domestic industry players to actively enhance crypto asset literacy and expand the national market, including PT Indodax Nasional Indonesia (Indodax). The Financial Services Authority (OJK) recorded that the number of national crypto asset investors reached 21.7 million users as of April 2026. This figure represents growth of more than 50 percent compared to the same period the previous year, which only reached 14.16 million investors. Indodax Chief Executive Officer William Sutanto emphasised that education is the most important factor in supporting the growing digital asset industry in Indonesia, enabling transactions to continue rising. “The growth in the number of investors must be balanced with improved literacy quality,” William stated in a written release on Friday, 11 June 2026. According to William, the development of Indonesia’s crypto asset industry shows that digital assets are increasingly accepted as part of the modern financial ecosystem. However, this growth also needs to be supported by strong collaboration between industry players, regulators, communities, and the public. “We will continue to provide services that are safe, transparent, and compliant with regulations, while expanding various educational programmes so that more Indonesians can understand crypto assets and blockchain technology more wisely,” he added. Through various educational programmes targeting students, communities, and business actors, Indodax continues to promote public understanding of crypto assets and blockchain technology as part of Indonesia’s digital economic transformation. Thanks to this commitment and effort, Indodax successfully won two awards at the 2026 CFX Ksatria Awards organised by PT Central Finansial X (CFX) as part of the CFX Crypto Conference 2026. At the event, Indodax, as Indonesia’s top crypto exchange, received two awards. The first was the Arjuna Award for Literacy & Education Commitment, given to exchange members who are committed and consistently active in promoting crypto asset literacy and education to the public. The second was the Bima Award for Highest Achievement in Growing the Crypto Asset Market, presented to exchange members who have contributed significantly to the growth of the national crypto asset market.
