Industrial Relations Dispute Between Former BUMD Bekasi Employees and Management Resolved Following Labour Department Mediation
Bekasi — An industrial relations dispute between former employees and management of PT Mitra Patriot (PTMP), a regional state-owned enterprise (BUMD) under Bekasi City Government, has finally been resolved after protracted negotiations since 2024.
The settlement agreement was reached on Thursday, 12 March 2026, following a series of mediation sessions facilitated by Bekasi City’s Labour Department (Disnaker).
Former employees expressed relief as the dispute concerning outstanding salary payments, year-end bonuses (Tunjangan Hari Raya or THR), and severance pay that had been delayed finally reached resolution.
“We’re relieved now. Although we’re taking a middle path because this has dragged on far too long, we just want the process to conclude quickly,” Ari told Kompas.com on Thursday.
He explained that the funds to be received would comprise several components and are scheduled for immediate disbursement.
“They said it could be disbursed today, and at the latest tomorrow,” he said.
Following the dispute with management, Ari expressed hope that similar cases would not recur in future.
“We hope nothing like this happens again. But the company has also shown good faith towards us, so the matter is now resolved,” he said.
He also acknowledged that his struggle alongside colleagues over nearly two years had finally borne fruit.
A similar sentiment was expressed by fellow former employee Indra Purwaka, 33. He stated that the dispute settlement was conducted through a negotiation process facilitated by Bekasi City’s Labour Department.
“Today, it has been administratively concluded,” Indra said.
“Alhamdulillah, we have found common ground and both parties have agreed to end the industrial relations dispute in accordance with the mechanism recommended by Disnaker,” he said.
Indra added that the compensation amount received represented a joint agreement reached through the negotiation process.
