Indro Warkop's Unique Impression of Entrusting His Qurban to Dompet Dhuafa
Committed to expanding the reach of qurban meat enjoyment since 1994, Dompet Dhuafa consistently views the Eid al-Adha period as a time of multiple blessings. This includes distributing qurban meat to remote areas, strengthening local livestock economies, and treating the qurban ritual as preparation for the hereafter.
This year, Dompet Dhuafa has introduced innovative options to assist the public in fulfilling their qurban obligations. Among these innovations are camel and giant cattle options in the Kurban Express menu, as well as international qurban choices for conflict-affected countries like Palestine. Furthermore, Dompet Dhuafa has established a qurban meat canning factory in Egypt, demonstrating its commitment to bringing the joy of qurban to every corner of Indonesia and abroad.
Attending Dompet Dhuafa’s Philanthropy Building, public figure Indro Warkop DKI explained the meaning of sacrifice, stating it is a universal act of goodness, not just for Islam but also a manifestation of God’s compassion. “How Allah SWT provides the opportunity to do good, such as Mas Ronggo’s sacrifice for Palestine — this is not just for Islam, but for humanity,” Indro said at Dompet Dhuafa’s Philanthropy Building on Monday, 25 May 2026.
He added that his sacrifice is not only for Palestine but for Allah. This moment is an opportunity for all of Allah’s creation to submit to Him. “This is an opportunity to submit to Allah SWT and minimise our sins,” Indro said.
On the occasion, Indro also shared that he had entrusted his qurban to Dompet Dhuafa several years ago, believing in the organisation’s capability and thorough research. He is confident his donation reaches those in need, with past deliveries even reaching Myanmar.
