Indramayu Oil and Gas Facility Experiences Fire, Pertamina Provides Explanation

PT Pertamina EP Jatibarang Field has confirmed a fire incident at the unloading facility of the Main Gathering Station Cemara, in Rajaiyang Village, Losarang District, Indramayu Regency. The fire occurred on Wednesday, 6 May 2026, around 12:30 WIB. By 13:40 WIB, the flames were extinguished by the Pertamina EP Jatibarang Field’s Emergency Response Team, which promptly carried out technical handling by putting out the fire source and implementing mitigation measures to control the situation. “All response steps were carried out in accordance with the Company’s Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) standards,” explained Pinto Budi Bowo Laksono, Manager of Communication Relations & CID at Pertamina EP, in a press release received by CNBC Indonesia on Thursday (7/5/2026). Pinto assured that the situation at the site is currently safe and under control. “We have formed an investigation team to determine the cause of this incident. No personnel were injured, and there were no social or environmental impacts from this event,” Pinto emphasised.
