An emergency non-fire response took place in Lobener Lor Village, Jatibarang District. Before officers arrived at the location, a buildup of material clogging the irrigation channel had paralysed water distribution to residents’ paddy fields. To address the issue, fire department personnel utilised high-pressure water sprays from a fire engine. The spraying method proved effective in pushing the material blocking the channel until water finally flowed heavily back towards the residents’ rice fields. Head of the Indramayu Regency Fire Department, Jajat Wibisono, explained that the action was his agency’s commitment to providing fast and solution-oriented public services. “We try to always be there when the community needs us. One way is by helping farmers clean blocked irrigation channels in Lobener Lor Village,” Jajat said recently. Jajat added that the smooth return of irrigation flow is crucial for farmers, as the water supply is essential for the continuity of the planting season. Jajat also urged the community to work together to maintain environmental cleanliness, particularly the waterways. Residents were asked not to dispose of rubbish into gutters or irrigation channels.
