Indramayu Deputy Regent Summoned as Suspect in DPRD Housing Allowance Case

The West Java High Prosecutor’s Office (Kejati Jabar) has summoned Indramayu Deputy Regent Syaefudin for questioning in a case concerning the 2023 DPRD housing allowance. He arrived with the status of suspect, as determined by Kejati Jabar.

Head of Public Relations for Kejati Jabar, Nur Sricahyawijaya, confirmed that Indramayu Deputy Regent Syaefudin had been summoned by Kejati Jabar to undergo examination. Her office was still awaiting the latest information from the investigators who would conduct the questioning.

“Our investigator colleagues are still waiting, waiting for him to arrive during working hours,” she said on Friday (12/6/2026).

She stated that a total of three people had been summoned for examination. However, the identities of the other two individuals were not disclosed in detail.

The West Java Public Relations Head explained that the Indramayu Deputy Regent would be examined in his capacity as a suspect in the case of the 2023 Indramayu DPRD housing allowance.

“His status is already that of a suspect, summoned as a suspect,” she said.

Previously, the Indramayu DPRD housing allowance case came to light due to a BPK report which stated that the allowances were allegedly distributed without a legal basis. Additionally, it is suspected that budget misappropriation reached Rp 16.8 billion.

Syaefudin had previously served as Chair of the Indramayu DPRD.
