Indramayu Deputy Regent Named Suspect in DPRD Housing Allowance Corruption

The West Java High Prosecutor’s Office (Kejati Jabar) has named Indramayu Deputy Regent Syaefudin as a suspect in a case of alleged corruption involving housing and transport allowances for the Indramayu DPRD for the 2022-2025 fiscal years. Syaifudin was implicated in the case during his tenure as Chairman of the Indramayu Regency DPRD for the 2019-2024 period. In addition to Syaifudin, the West Java High Prosecutor’s Office has named two former acting and permanent DPRD secretaries, with the initials IM and AF, as suspects. ‘It is true that today the special crimes investigators at the West Java High Prosecutor’s Office summoned three suspects, namely S (Syaifudin), IM, and AF, in the alleged corruption case of housing and transport allowances for the leadership and members of the Indramayu Regency DPRD for the 2022 to 2025 fiscal years,’ said Nur Sricahyawijaya, Head of Public Relations for the West Java High Prosecutor’s Office, as reported by detikJabar on Friday (12/6/2026). IM and AF complied with the prosecutor’s summons for questioning as suspects. Meanwhile, Syaefudin failed to appear, citing illness. ‘One suspect, S, did not attend today’s examination due to illness and has sent a sick note to the investigation team,’ Cahya stated. Cahya could not yet provide detailed explanations regarding the handling of the case. Syaefudin and the two other officials from the Indramayu Regency Government have also not been detained in this matter. ‘Regarding this alleged corruption case, according to the state loss calculation from the BPK, the value reaches approximately Rp 18 billion,’ he revealed.
