Indramayu Deputy Regent Fulfils Summons in DPRD Housing Allowance Corruption Case

The Deputy Regent of Indramayu, Syaefudin, officially responded to a summons from investigators at the West Java High Prosecutor’s Office (Kejati Jabar) for questioning regarding the Indramayu DPRD housing allowance case for the 2022-2025 period on Monday (22/06/2026). During that period, Syaefudin served as the Chairman of the Indramayu DPRD.

The Deputy Regent underwent examination starting from 09:00 WIB. The West Java High Prosecutor’s Office has named Syaefudin as a suspect alongside two others, identified as IM and AF.

The Head of the Legal Affairs Division of the West Java High Prosecutor’s Office, Nur Sricahyawwijaya, confirmed that the Deputy Regent of Indramayu had fulfilled the summons for examination in the Indramayu DPRD housing allowance case. He noted that the suspect was accompanied by his legal counsel.

He continued by stating that the authorities would not yet proceed with the detention of the three suspects, nor has it been determined if there are other suspects involved in the case.

“No coercive measures, such as detention, have been implemented for these three suspects yet,” he said.

Previously, based on state loss calculations by the Audit Board of Indonesia (BPK), the value of this corruption case reached Rp 18 billion. Syaefudin was the Chairman of the Indramayu DPRD for the 2019-2024 period at the time.

Meanwhile, IM served as the Acting Secretary of the Indramayu DPRD from 1 November 2021 to 11 August 2022 and acted as the budget user, while AF served as the Secretary of the Indramayu DPRD from 12 August 2022 to June 2025.
