Indramayu Deputy Regent Fulfils Summons in DPRD Housing Allowance Corruption Case

The Deputy Regent of Indramayu, Syaefudin, officially complied with a summons from investigators at the West Java High Prosecutor’s Office (Kejati Jabar) on Monday (22/6/2026) for questioning regarding a corruption case linked to housing allowances for the Indramayu DPRD for the 2022-2025 period. During that period, Syaefudin served as the chairman of the Indramayu DPRD. He underwent questioning starting at 09:00 WIB. The West Java High Prosecutor’s Office has named Syaefudin a suspect alongside two other individuals, identified as IM and AF. Nur Sricahyawijaya, Head of Public Relations for the West Java High Prosecutor’s Office, confirmed that the Deputy Regent had fulfilled the summons for examination in the DPRD housing allowance case, accompanied by his legal counsel. She added that her office has not yet taken any coercive measures, such as detention, against the three suspects, nor has it determined whether there will be additional suspects in the case. ‘No coercive measures (detention) have been taken against these three suspects yet,’ she stated. Previously, based on a loss calculation by the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK), the corruption case was found to have caused state losses amounting to Rp 18 billion. Syaefudin was the Chairman of the Indramayu DPRD for the 2019-2024 term. IM served as the Acting Secretary of the Indramayu DPRD from 1 November 2021 to 11 August 2022 and acted as the budget user, while AF served as the Secretary of the Indramayu DPRD from 12 August 2022 until June 2025.
