Indosmelt plans US$500 mln copper proccesing plant in Sulawesi
Jakarta (ANTARA News/Asia Pulse) -- Indonesia's PT Indosmelt plans to build a copper processing factory in the regency of Maros, South Sulawesi with an investment of US$500 million.
Construction of the project will start next year in cooperation with an Australian investor Ausmelt (ASX:AET), Indosmelt President Natsir Mansyur said.
The factory, which will produce 100,000 tons of copper cathode and 200,000 tons of copper crust, will need 350,000 tons of copper concentrate for feedstock, the newspaper Investor Daily said.
