Indosat Partners with Ericsson to Build Future-Ready Digital Platform
Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH) and Ericsson have signed a memorandum of understanding during Mobile World Congress 2026 on Tuesday, 4 March. The agreement aims to deepen strategic collaboration to deliver faster, more adaptive, and personalised digital services to customers across Indonesia.
The collaboration leverages the Digital Monetization Platform (DMP), which is claimed to be the world’s first full-stack digital monetisation platform. The system is designed to support approximately 100 million Indosat customers throughout the country.
The DMP forms part of Ericsson’s Business Support System portfolio. Through this platform, IOH can accelerate the delivery of digital and 5G services, streamline product structures to be simpler and more flexible, accelerate time-to-market for new services, and strengthen the business-to-business segment.
Vikram Sinha, President Director and Chief Executive Officer of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, said: “The strategic partnership with Ericsson is an important milestone in Indosat’s digital transformation journey. Together, we are building a comprehensively integrated and future-ready monetisation platform to strengthen the foundation of sustainable growth. This platform enables us to deliver faster and more flexible digital services to customers whilst strengthening our B2B capabilities. This collaboration also supports one of the world’s largest telecommunications migrations, through the seamless integration of millions of Hutchison customers into the IOH DMP system.
Today, we are taking the next step in this journey with Ericsson by announcing the launch of Flash, an AI-based and cloud interface for our customers. This is not merely a technology update, but a transformation in how we innovate, develop, and serve within Indonesia’s growing digital economy ecosystem.”
Flash is introduced as an artificial intelligence-powered and cloud computing interface developed with support from Ericsson Catalog Manager. The platform enables business teams greater flexibility in designing and launching products without high dependency on the information technology division. With this approach, customers can obtain internet packages that are more relevant and tailored to their individual digital needs. AI utilisation also plays a role in validating product configurations to minimise errors and accelerate service development.
Nora Wahby, President Director of Ericsson Indonesia, added: “For Ericsson, this partnership represents a long-term commitment to support Indosat’s business resilience whilst building a foundation for digital monetisation that is ready to evolve. With DMP’s flexibility, Indosat can continue to adapt to new business models without needing to rebuild systems, making it a technology investment that delivers long-term value.”
During MWC 2026, both companies will present the transformation process, including live demonstrations of the Flash platform. This collaboration extends the long-term strategic relationship between Ericsson and IOH whilst affirming their commitment to helping telecommunications operators adapt to more agile and sustainable digital business models.
