Indosat opens center in Aceh

BANDA ACEH: Telecommunications firm PT Indosat officially opened a cellular and telecommunications service center here on Thursday to improve communications in the tsunami-devastated province.

The service center will give added value to customers of Indosat's cellular providers Matrix, Mentari and IM3, said the company's vice president Ng Eng Ho.

To expand its services, Indosat plans to add several base transceiver stations (BTS) in Seulimuem, Aceh Besar; Peurelak, East Aceh; and Panton Labu, North Aceh.

Indosat also is giving a 75 percent discount for its customers in the province until the end of this month. -- JP
