Indosat offers discount

JAKARTA (JP): Publicly listed telecommunications company PT
Indosat will offer a 40 percent discount for its International
Direct Dial (IDD) service rate to celebrate Indonesia's
Independence Day on Aug. 17.

Indosat's general manager for marketing, Brata T.
Hardjosubroto, said on Friday the discount would be given on
three-minute international calls made on Tuesday, Aug. 17 only.

"The discount is only applicable to overseas calls made from
fixed-line telephones at home and wartel (telecommunications
shop)," he said.

Indosat also offers a regular 25 percent discount on its
international rates for calls made during daily off-peak periods
and on Saturday, Monday and national holidays. (cst)
