Indosat & Arsari Group launch AI-based digital toll road company
PT Infra Fiber Teknologi (IFT), an independent digital infrastructure company resulting from a collaboration between Arsari Group and Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (Indosat or IOH), has officially launched RAIA Grid as an artificial intelligence (AI)-based digital infrastructure platform to support the growth of Indonesia’s digital ecosystem, in Jakarta on Wednesday.
“What we build today determines Indonesia’s future. RAIA Grid is part of a long-term commitment to strengthen Indonesia’s digital capabilities through the development of infrastructure, knowledge, and talent needed to shape our own AI future,” said Arsari Group Founder Hashim Djojohadikusumo.
RAIA Grid claims the company combines more than 86,000 kilometres of fibre infrastructure with Machine Learning, AI, and Agentic AI in building an intelligent and adaptive open-access infrastructure.
“RAIA Grid was built with the vision of becoming a digital toll road that connects Indonesia’s increasingly complex digital ecosystem, from one data centre to another, and ultimately connecting Indonesia and the world,” said RAIA Grid President Director Hendri Mulya Syam.
RAIA Grid integrates Machine Learning, AI, and Agentic AI in the planning, deployment, and operation of infrastructure. These capabilities support network planning and demand prediction, optimisation of fibre routes and investment, automation of system deployment, predictive maintenance, and more autonomous operations.
“We are creating an infrastructure layer that allows computing, data, and intelligence to move seamlessly at scale, while transforming connectivity into a strategic advantage for Indonesia’s digital future,” Hendri added.
According to him, this ambition also includes building high-performance computing capabilities and paving the way towards supercomputer manufacturing in Indonesia.
RAIA Grid is further directed to support the convergence of connectivity, computing, talent, and AI capabilities so that the technology can develop at scale and be easily accessible throughout Indonesia.
