JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - PT Indosaku Digital Teknologi is strengthening its corporate governance and consumer protection following sanctions and evaluations from the Financial Services Authority (OJK). The sanctions relate to a debt collection terror case carried out by one of the company’s debt collectors. Indosaku’s President Director, Yulvina Napitupulu, stated that the company respects OJK’s decision and is committed to implementing all sanctions and improvement recommendations provided by the regulator. According to her, the case serves as a momentum for the company to strengthen internal oversight, refine operational processes, and elevate compliance standards. “These actions are part of our commitment to ensure that all collection processes are carried out in accordance with regulations, uphold ethics, and prioritise consumer protection principles,” Yulvina said in a written statement on Sunday (10/5/2026). The decision was taken after practices were found that were deemed inconsistent with the company’s ethical standards and procedures. Indosaku also claims to have responded quickly to the debt collection case in Semarang that had drawn public attention. The company visited the affected parties, including the Semarang Regional Fire Department (Damkar), to convey an apology. Yulvina emphasised that public trust, built over more than six years, is a vital asset that the company must safeguard. Therefore, the company will continue to make improvements across all operational lines, including strengthening consumer protection and maintaining service quality. “We continue to conduct evaluations and reinforce oversight of all business partners to ensure the company’s service standards remain intact,” she asserted. These steps include refining collection procedures, strengthening oversight of business partners, and enhancing regular training and evaluations for third-party collection staff. The company will also bolster monitoring mechanisms for collection partners by placing an internal quality control (QC) function within vendor operations. These measures are described as part of strengthening oversight and implementing the company’s compliance standards.
