Indoprom apologizes
Indoprom apologizes
I am writing in reference to the letter of complaint (Feb. 26)
regarding our service. We would like to apologize for what
happened to Soren Lax's subscription to Asia Boating. We would
like to clarify the matter as follows.
The special offer subscription to Asian Boating was processed
and reported on Oct. 16, 1996 to the publisher in Hong Kong but
unfortunately the copy did not arrive. We contacted the publisher
to check whether they had processed the report or not. After some
time there was no reply so we decided to contact them again, but
still no response. We decided to refund the payment without
waiting for the credit note, and planned to do this on Feb. 26,
1997. Our customer service officer's information regarding refund
payment was based on a regulation from the publisher, i.e. we are
allowed to send a refund after we receive their credit note.
Regarding subscription to Asiaweek, we received the order on
Nov. 20, 1996 by post. It was processed and reported to the
publisher on Nov. 29, 1996. It should be noted that for all
special subscription offers, the subscriber's first copy will
arrive in Jakarta four to six weeks after our report, not four
months as mentioned in the letter.
We regret the inconvenience caused.
