Indoor-Outdoor Event Spaces Flourish Amidst Bogor's Development
The development of the area surrounding Bogor is driving a need for more diverse meeting spaces. This demand is no longer limited to large-capacity buildings, but extends to spaces for formal events, family celebrations, community activities, and activities with an atmosphere closer to nature.
One growing option is event spaces that combine indoor and outdoor areas. This concept offers flexibility in organising activities, while simultaneously requiring management regarding capacity, guest movement, weather, technical requirements, and the surrounding environment.
One venue adopting this concept is Jagarlaasa Venue in Cijayanti, Bogor, which integrates a Glass House, Garden Area, Pool Area, and Guest House. The Glass House is the primary feature of Jagarasa Venue. The building measures 32 metres x 13 metres in total, with an interior of 8 metres x 20 metres.
The Glass House is equipped with terraces on both sides, a front corridor of approximately 8 metres, and a 7-metre stage. Glass panels provide a visual connection to the surrounding environment, while the tropical climate necessitates careful temperature and light management. Jagarasa Venue utilises six air conditioning units with a 2 PK capacity.
The Garden Area and Pool Area provide options for hosting parts of an event outdoors, while the main activities take place in the Glass House. The arrangement of movement paths, lighting, surface conditions, and weather anticipation are all integral parts of the preparation.
The Glass House can accommodate 200–300 people for a standing party format, while the use of the entire area can accommodate approximately 500–600 people. Actual capacity remains influenced by the layout of tables, chairs, stages, buffets, decorations, documentation, and entertainment equipment.
For vehicles, there is parking capacity for up to 30 cars within the area and up to 50 cars in the outer area, depending on the arrangement. For events with a large number of guests, the management of passenger drop-off points, vendor vehicles, and entry-exit flows is a vital part of operations.
Listed facilities include 50 Tiffany chairs, a dressing or family room, toilets, a prayer room (musala), and a generator set. The Glass House has two toilets, while the use of the entire area is equipped with additional public toilets. The full-area option also includes a three-bedroom Guest House.
Regarding electricity, the venue information specifies a basic allocation of 1,200 watts, supported by a generator. Sound systems, lighting, air conditioning, documentation, dressing equipment, and catering equipment may be used simultaneously, meaning power requirements must be calculated in advance.
Jagarasa Venue is part of Jagarasa.id, which operates in the catering and wedding planning industry. This integrated service model can facilitate the coordination of event needs, while package information remains crucial for potential users.
Potential users can choose between ‘venue only’ packages or ‘all-in’ packages, which include verifying package components, additional costs, duration, vendor access, date changes, cancellations, damages, and force majeure conditions before booking.
The venue’s location in a peri-urban area also means that event management must consider the surrounding environment. Vehicles, noise, lighting, and waste must be accounted for, especially for events with large numbers of guests or those running into the night.
Energy and water aspects are also linked to the simultaneous use of lighting, air conditioning, sound systems, and catering equipment.
For potential users, an Open House provides an opportunity to view the venue conditions directly and match them with event requirements. Visitors can observe the connection between the Glass House, Garden Area, and Pool Area, check inter-space access, and discuss technical needs.
A Wedding Preview will take place on 19 September 2026 from 12:00 to 20:00 WIB, while a Venue Showing will be held on 20 September 2026 from 10:00 to 16:00 WIB. Registration is available through the official Jagarasa Venue channels and is free of charge.
Couples from the Millennial and Gen Z demographics now tend to choose venues that possess their own unique character, both in terms of location, spatial character, and ease of access.
