Indonesia's Vehicle Exports Show Strong Growth in February 2026

Jakarta — Indonesia’s automotive export performance in February 2026 continued to demonstrate significant growth across both fully built-up (CBU) and completely knocked down (CKD) categories.

According to data from the Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries (Gaikindo), total CBU exports in February 2026 reached 46,585 units, representing a 16.5 per cent increase compared to January 2026’s 40,003 units. On a year-on-year basis, domestically-manufactured four-wheeled vehicle exports surged 26.6 per cent compared to February 2025, which had recorded 36,789 units.

CKD exports for February 2026 totalled 7,898 set units, up 30.8 per cent from January 2026’s 6,036 set units. Year-on-year, CKD exports jumped 79.6 per cent from the previous year’s 4,398 set units.

The three largest CKD exporters during this period were Mitsubishi Motors with 6,172 set units, followed by Hyundai with 870 set units, and Suzuki with 792 set units.

Automotive component exports also experienced growth. In February 2026, total component exports reached 16,597,457 pieces, climbing 33.6 per cent compared to January 2026’s 12,420,407 pieces. Year-on-year, component exports increased 54 per cent compared to February 2025’s 10,730,833 pieces.
