To put it into perspective, a Thai or Vietnamese or Filipino farmer can grow produce, truck it to their local port, ship it to Jakarta or Medan or Surabaya, pay the import tariffs and get it to the supermarket for 30~50% LESS COST than an Indonesian farmer, who is merely trucking his produce just 200km from Lampung to Jakarta.
