Jakarta — Deputy Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Deputy Head of BKPM Todotua Pasaribu has revealed that investment realisation in the second quarter of 2025 reached Rp 475 trillion, higher than the Rp 465 trillion achieved in the first quarter of 2025.

"The first and second quarters are already secure. In Q1 we were able to release a figure of Rp 465 trillion, and in Q2 we have already reached Rp 475 trillion," he said at the Pertamina Investor Day at The St. Regis Jakarta on Wednesday (16/7/2025).

Todotua noted that efforts to attract investment in the coming quarters would be fraught with challenges, taking into account the current global economic turbulence.

"Hopefully in Q3 and Q4 — though it will indeed be quite challenging due to the global economic factors that we must monitor," he said.

What is clear, he stated, is that investment realisation must deliver a significant impact on national economic growth. President Prabowo Subianto's administration has set a target of achieving 8 per cent economic growth. To reach this goal, investment is expected to serve as one of the primary engines driving economic growth. By 2029, investment is expected to reach approximately Rp 13,000 trillion.

"Speaking of 8 per cent growth over the next five years, our government is targeting a figure of up to Rp 13,000 trillion in terms of investment realisation achievement. This year, the target is around Rp 1,900 trillion," he concluded.
