RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Indonesian Minister of Investment and Downstreaming, Rosan Roeslani, reported that investment in the first quarter of 2026 exceeded the government’s target. He conveyed this achievement to President Prabowo Subianto at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Tuesday, April 21, 2026.
Rosan said investment realization reached IDR 498.79 trillion (approx. USD 29.10 billion) in Q1-2026, surpassing the target of IDR 497 trillion. “This represents a 100.36 percent increase from the target of IDR 497 trillion. There was a 7.22 percent year-on-year increase,” he explained.
The minister noted that the investment also contributed to national job creation, resulting in 706,569 workers being employed.
Regions outside Java continued to dominate investment distribution, accounting for 50.37 percent of the national total. “Meanwhile, for Java, the share is 49.63 percent, or IDR 247.53 trillion,” Rosan said.
In Java, the five largest contributors to investment are spread across Jakarta and Central Java, with Jakarta leading at 15.76 percent. (Gusti Panji/Lasti Martina)
