Indonesia’s Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora RI) has received heartening news. Under the leadership of Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Erick Thohir, the ministry has achieved a positive milestone by ranking in the top five out of the ten best-performing ministries in the eyes of the public.

Cyrus Network released a national public opinion survey report for the April 2026 period. One of the topics covered was the level of public satisfaction with ministers up to the popularity of ministries and institutions.

The survey involved 1,260 respondents interviewed face-to-face in 126 villages/sub-districts across 38 provinces in Indonesia from 1-5 April 2026.

This achievement serves as a form of public appreciation for the various programmes and policies implemented by Kemenpora in supporting the empowerment of youth potential and the enhancement of national sports achievements.

Menpora Erick stated that this survey result motivates the entire Kemenpora apparatus to continue improving the quality of public services. Kemenpora will also continue to strengthen strategic programmes that impact society and the nation’s achievements on the world stage.

“Alhamdulillah, Kemenpora has received glad tidings that our performance has been recognised and truly felt by the public,” said the Menpora.

He added that this achievement is the result of the hard work of all Kemenpora personnel, supported by stakeholders and the community.

“We are committed to continuing to deliver policies that have a real impact on Indonesian youth and sports. The goal is to position Indonesia as a nation with achievements recognised worldwide. Additionally, we aim to shape a young generation that is patriotic, resilient, and empathetic as the foundation for competing at the global level,” said Menpora Erick.

Under Erick’s leadership, Kemenpora continues to drive internal transformation. The steps taken have resulted in improved governance and policies that yield enhancements in achievements, the development of the sports industry, and sport tourism.
