PT DSI Persero will carry out full export functions starting January 2027. One of the leading players in the kopi Luwak sector, Worcas, is committed to continuing to innovate to be among Indonesia’s pride in premium coffee. ‘This endeavour is part of our 91-year journey, a long chapter in Indonesian coffee,’ Worcas Group director Roysevelt said at Worcas Gala Dinner 2026 in Jakarta. He noted that over that period the group has safeguarded quality, tradition and the authenticity of Kopi Luwak as a high-value Nusantara heritage. ‘We also continue to show the world that Indonesian coffee is highly competitive with great potential to grow in the global, competitive market,’ he added. Through Worcas Gala Dinner 2026, the group hopes to stage an evening of appreciation that offers luxury, togetherness and the drive to carry Indonesian Kopi Luwak to the world stage. ‘This event is our way of thanking all invitees, business partners, staff, customers, and everyone who has been part of our journey so far,’ Roysevelt explained. The gala featured professional ushers, exclusive food for guests, stage design and spectacular visuals with LED and a large stage, supported by an orchestra. The merriment was further enhanced with special performances by two artists, Sammy Simorangkir and Lyodra, delivering memorable entertainment and heightening the mood of the evening. In attendance, Worcas received appreciation from a loyal customer who has been a regular for 35 years, Asim. ‘For 35 years, I have always trusted Worcas for my coffee shop. The flavour is consistent, the aroma distinctive, and it always delivers the best experience for our customers. May Worcas become better known as Indonesia’s premium Kopi Luwak,’ Asim said. Worcas also presented various special prizes, including an iPhone 17 Pro Max and a grand prize symbolising the 91-year journey in Indonesia. (H-2) The coffee industry employs millions of people from upstream to downstream. Its ecosystem includes farmers, processors, roasters, distributors, coffee shops, baristas, events, communities and digital platforms. Strengthening cultivation practices, improving post-harvest quality, access to climate technology, and modernisation of coffee villages are seen as needs that must be undertaken in a more structured manner. Rising global coffee consumption is pushing producer countries to become more aggressive in introducing their coffee character to the global market. The Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan), through the Directorate General of Plantations, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Starbucks Coffee Company. Jakarta Coffee Week (Jacoweek) 2025 will be held at Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD City, Hall 3–3A, from 31 October to 2 November.
