Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Health says digital transformation and Indonesia’s health service innovations have been recognised at the Asia-Pacific level at the Festival of Innovation Award 2026, where Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin and the Free Health Check programme (CKG) received awards. Aji Muhawarman, Head of the Public Communications and Information Bureau, said in Jakarta on Friday that the first award is a Special Mention for the Digital Leader of the Year category, awarded to the Minister for leading the development of the SATUSEHAT ecosystem as the National Health Information System (SIKN) which is integrated. ‘The minister’s strategic steps are considered to have driven bureaucratic efficiency and provided easier access to health services for the public,’ said Aji. The second award is a Special Mention in the Agility Award category, awarded for the Free Health Check (CKG) programme. As part of the President Prabowo Subianto’s Fast Results Programme (PHTC), CKG is seen as responsive to meet preventive-care needs through technology innovations and data-based policies near real-time. The Festival of Innovation Award is an annual event for the Asia-Pacific public sector which demonstrates success in service delivery via technology. The Digital Leader category highlights individuals driving digital innovation, while the Agility Award emphasises an agency’s ability to quickly adapt through practical and efficient solutions to health challenges. He said the recognition reflects the government’s commitment to bringing health services closer to the people. ‘This award motivates us to continue expanding the reach and improving the quality of the Free Health Check programme. Our main focus is to ensure every citizen, without exception, can access preventive health services easily and quickly through integrated digital technology,’ he added. The achievement is also expected to strengthen the sustainability of health data integration within the SATUSEHAT ecosystem. The digitisation efforts will continue to be enhanced to ensure more equitable and higher-quality health services for all Indonesians.
