TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Danantara Indonesia has decided to resume the LRT City project developed by PT Adhi Commuter Properti Tbk (ADCP), with a new architect and a revamped business model planned to speed up completion.
“We have decided to continue this project. We will hire a new architect to handle the process. We will change the facade as well as the business model, including the commercial areas,” Danantara COO and Head of the State-Owned Enterprises Agency (BP BUMN) Dony Oskaria said in an official statement confirmed by ANTARA in Jakarta on Tuesday, September 29.
Dony said the project still has business potential because it includes valuable land assets in strategic locations. Danantara will therefore review the project’s design and business model while working to ensure its commercial viability.
The revamp will include changes to the building facade and commercial areas. Danantara also plans to bring in a new architect as part of the effort to accelerate construction.
The decision to continue the project is also aimed at providing certainty to customers who have purchased units and are awaiting completion of their homes.
Dony said the decision was not based solely on commercial considerations, but also reflected Danantara’s responsibility to customers.
“I hope this is a good decision. This decision is not merely commercial. So, the first step is to immediately find the right people,” Dony said.
Danantara will now focus on restructuring the project so construction can resume while maintaining the quality of the development and addressing the concerns of customers awaiting completion.
