Indonesia's Crypto Industry Matures, Pintu Records User Growth

PT Pintu Kemana Saja (PINTU), a cryptocurrency asset investment platform registered and supervised by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) since 1 April 2026, has entered its sixth year. Over six years of providing cryptocurrency asset trading and investment services to the Indonesian public, Pintu has recorded performance growth in line with increasing adoption of digital assets and strengthening of the national cryptocurrency industry ecosystem.

SVP Strategy & Business at PINTU, Andy Putra, stated that the cryptocurrency industry in Indonesia is showing increasingly mature development, both in terms of regulation, ecosystem, and public adoption levels.

“This is reflected in the increase in PINTU app downloads, which have reached more than 11 million times. In addition, product performance continues to improve with nearly 400 tokens available, including more than 40 tokens in the tokenized asset category,” said Andy.

He added that the number of registered users grew by 79.29%, active users increased by 38.37%, and trading users rose by 25.86% year-on-year (yoy). Transaction volume also shows an upward trend.

On the derivatives side, Pintu Futures recorded significant growth in the first quarter of 2026. The number of verified users (know your customer/KYC) increased by 401%, followed by growth in existing users by 208.71%, and order frequency up by 91.61%.

OJK data shows that throughout 2025, the transaction volume of cryptocurrency assets in Indonesia reached Rp 482.23 trillion with 20.19 million investors. Although the transaction value decreased compared to the previous year, the number of investors continued to increase, reflecting the expansion of the user base.

To encourage increased transactions and adoption of cryptocurrency assets, PINTU is holding a campaign titled #SixcessfulYear to mark its 6th anniversary. The activities include a trading competition with a total prize of Rp 105 million, community programmes, and various social media activities.

“These six years have been an important journey for us to contribute to the development of the cryptocurrency asset industry in Indonesia. We believe this industry not only grows in terms of transactions but is also able to bring innovations with real benefits for society,” said Andy.
